GoToPhD

About

An objective-matching system for PhD search — programs, your own background, and real precedent, compared side by side.

GoToPhD helps applicants find PhD programs, see objectively how each one compares to their own background, and turn a long list of options into a realistic shortlist — using real facts, not fabricated odds.

What you can do here

  • Browse and filter PhD programs by research area, country, and funding type
  • Paste your CV or a self-introduction — we extract your education, research, and test scores into a structured profile you can edit
  • See how your background objectively compares to each program — shared research focus, discipline, funding requirements — and how many other applicants with similar backgrounds have been admitted to it, from real recorded cases
  • Build and manage a shortlist with deadlines, notes, and application stages

No fabricated scores

We don't compute admission probabilities — nobody can, and a made-up 85% helps no one make a real decision. What we show is countable and checkable: which research tags actually overlap, what a program's funding actually is, and how many real, similar-background applicants were actually admitted where. You judge the rest.

Data sources

Program listings are compiled from publicly available sources including university websites, department pages, and official announcements, with a source link included whenever possible. Precedent cases come from admin-verified public CVs/profiles and from applicants who chose to share their own recorded outcome (never their name). Program details can change — please confirm deadlines and requirements on official university pages before applying.
